Lead Project Engineer - Broadcast IP Systems

Are you an experienced Broadcast Project Engineer with a passion for managing and delivering cutting-edge IP focused projects? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Lead Project Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving innovation and expanding technical facilities whilst acting as a subject matter expert for the native ST2110 platform. Key Responsibilities: Project Ownership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Technical Leadership: Oversee and assist with the design and implementation of technical workflows, with a strong emphasis on IP-based systems, particularly those adhering to ST2110 standards. Decision Making & Procurement: Make critical decisions on technical equipment and manage the procurement process to support project goals. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, system schematics, and cable schedules. Team Development: Train and develop the engineering team on key technologies and software, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across all projects. System Analysis: Utilize advanced tools to analyze systems for technical integrity and resolve complex issues. Client & Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution. Consultancy Role: Act as a consultant on projects related to business growth, providing expertise on workflow diagrams, budget preparation, and technical documentation. Essential Skills & Experience: IP & Networking Expertise: Strong understanding of Broadcast IP network design and implementation, with specific experience in ST2110 standards, SMPTE 2022, NMOS, Dante, and AES67. Broadcast Engineering Background: Proven experience in broadcast engineering, with a focus on both IT and networking within an engineering capacity. Project Management: Experience in managing and delivering complex engineering projects, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to a variety of audiences. Proactive Problem-Solver: Ability to provide creative solutions to technical challenges and remain calm under pressure.
