Engineering Manager

Our client, a leader in media and entertainment seek an Engineering Manager for a newly created team who deliver innovative streaming technology solutions. You will be an exceptional Engineering Manager and will lead and develop a diverse team of engineers. In this role you will be a key player in redefining the future of streaming video technology. Your primary focus will be building an innovative greenfield MSE player solution, while collaborating with a larger JavaScript team that supports platforms like TVs, browsers, consoles, and set-top boxes. What You’ll Do: Mentor and unite a growing team to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally to understand requirements and drive technical direction. Elevate code quality through reviews, pair programming, and tech talks. Design robust software that integrates seamlessly with the wider architecture. Manage the team roadmap, capacity, and proactively mitigate risks. Push technical boundaries while exploring new processes and technologies. Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented team culture. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience leading engineering teams and expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript. In-depth knowledge of integrating JavaScript video players and working with MSE/EME APIs. Passion for building video playback libraries. Experience taking R&D projects to production. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. Ability to balance deadlines, scope, and stakeholder expectations. Commitment to building a diverse and thriving team environment.
