Senior Cloud Engineer

Overview: CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to implement a new global network for one of our clients based on SASE technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional networking technologies, cloud networking, and modern SASE solutions, along with experience in leading security products. Responsibilities: Engineer and secure core Azure platform services across a global footprint. Implement strong cloud network engineering principles, adopting Zero Trust Architecture principles. Engineer and administer Next-Gen CASB solutions to gain visibility and control over cloud applications/data. Advance branch SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and connectivity for remote locations. Manage a global SASE network infrastructure that integrates with existing traditional network components (LAN, WAN). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, operations, and application teams, to ensure the SASE architecture aligns with business needs and IT strategies. Develop and maintain network design documents, including topology diagrams, network segmentation plans, and security policies. Configure and deploy SASE components, such as: SD-WAN Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) Work within an Azure Environment using infrastructure tools such as: Python/PowerShell Ansible Terraform Azure DevOps CI/CD Kubernetes Improve operational processes and build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than outages. Establish and maintain network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization processes to ensure high availability and quality of service. Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Windows server, virtualization, and containerization technologies on Azure. A strong passion for network security and continual learning and development. Keen interest in open-source development and continual learning in Azure technologies. Strong knowledge of the Azure Cloud platform and associated networking services. Knowledge of network security best practices, including: Zero Trust Least-privilege access Micro-segmentation Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Relevant professional certifications, such as: SASE Certified Architect Training CACI Network Services develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development options such as certified training courses, workshops, technical conferences, boot camps, on-line training and much more.
