Bonhill Partners are supporting a Global Investment Bank in their search for a Senior Data Scientist to join their Quant Innovation team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning models to build a recommender system that enhances our clients' investment decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of machine learning models to build a recommender system for equities and fixed income products. Apply state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning to create personalized investment recommendations. Collaborate with data engineers to develop scalable data pipelines for processing and analyzing large volumes of financial data. Conduct extensive data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and client behaviors in financial markets. Validate and optimize models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in real-world scenarios. Communicate findings and model performance to stakeholders, including non-technical team members and executive leadership. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, recommender systems, and financial technology to continuously improve the system. Mentor and guide junior data scientists and provide technical leadership within the team. Qualifications: MSc or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in data science, with a focus on building and deploying recommender systems or similar machine learning models. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Solid understanding of financial products, particularly equities and fixed income, and experience working with financial data is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong desire to innovate and drive the future of financial technology. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Look forward to hearing from you
