Can anyone recommend a good XML-based content management system?
I have thus far tried only one (GetSimpleCMS) but it was, seemingly, not flexible and lacked fundamental features. The documentation was very poor and incomplete as well, so it was very hard to use. For example, I couldn’t find out how to get the CMS to update a short list of the most recent articles, or show links based on relevance (the kind of thing that any blog CMS should surely be able to do?), so I’m currently doing those kinds of little tasks manually. Easy enough, but a bit tedious.
Something like “Wordpress-light” would be perfect. I have just seen Symphony CMS, which looks good: have any of you used that?
