Why on the results of my page , the links i have diefferent results http://www… and different on http://… ( with and without www) .
Usually by default, your site can be found at both http://www.mydomain.com and http://mydomain.com. However, this is not good from a search engine point of view (as the perceived importance of the site is shared between the two versions). So it’s best to choose one version and redirect the other to that. Look about half way down this page for how to do such a redirect:
Also, you can set your preferred version in Google webmaster tools. Or you may set the rel=canonical attribute in order to tell Google about your preferred version.
Thank you for your replys ,
In google webmaster ask me wich one i want to activate , but i had it in auto .
in my results without www…… add faster the back links then with www. Without www is 2 days faster in results then with www.
Is necesery to chooce 1 of them ? or leave it unmarket in webmaster ?
and It’s better to build backlinks to prefered site version.
Better to choose one or the other, but it’s you choice.
Thank you for your help
Its happening now a days, even the same problem occurred to me and when you reach some word in google and it display the top page without www. and sometimes with www.
It’s actually a personal attitude and you can find thousands of blogs and top-ranking websites using both versions, some of them with the www. and the rest using the http:// format and they both are acceptable to users and search engines but it is nice to stick with default www. as even when you enter a domain name on your browser address bar and then press Ctrl+Enter keys together, the www. and .com will be added to that.
Whichever format you choose and use, do not shift back to the other one after weeks or months of maintaining your site because that will cause some problems in indexing records and even loss of ranks. Besides, sometimes without your knowledge, other directories and sites might find some contents on your site useful and add links to them, therefore a sudden change in displaying format would cause some problems.
Thank you for your help , i have change it though Google webmaster to http://www… ,
Thank you for your advise
you can redirect your site from your domain registrar. like if you type website.org you will be redirected to www.website.org
you can do it at your domain registrat… there you click on Redirects and redirect it clearly. you can redirect other site also… through this… redirect one domain to other. or redirect one domain with one extension to other etc.
Is not wright like i did it from the Google Webmaster ? i have to do it also from my domain registral ?
You are getting results from both WWW and without WWW because you haven’t solved the issue of canonicalization on your site. You need to redirect your site on any one of the domain with or without WWW.
If you only want to ensure that Google always displays the results the same way, then setting it in Webmaster Tools is fine.
Results depend on searching and beck linking when your site don’t open without www. and your submission also it’s so beck links don’t count and will don’t on top.The webmaster tools is given the canonical option for use to help you will get the right result.
