What prototyping tools do you usually use?

Hi, my name is Mark, I’m a UX designer in China, there are about 5 or 6 kinds of prototyping tools in China, such as Axure, Mockplus, Justinmind, Balsamiq. I wonder what do you usually use for prototyping?

Can you tell me? Thank you.

I can only add 2 links in the post because I’m a new user. So, sorry to Justinmind and Balsamiq, I can’t add links to you.

I updated the links.

In general, we are using the following prototyping tools:

  • Adobe Comp - free

  • Invision - Free

  • Easee - trail is free then (unlimited $10 per month)

  • Atomic Free trail (starter $15 per month and Pro $25 per month)

Thank you

Thank you.

But, which one do you like better? Could you kindly give me a recommendation?

@MarkWu1041

I use generally use four prototyping in designing time like Mockplus , Cost , JustInMind , and Sketch…

Hi Methew, thanks for sharing.

I know Mockplus, JustInMind and Sketch.

Could you kindly tell me more about Cost? Such as the website, I have searched Cost prototyping on Google, but I failed to find something related.

Thank you.

Hi MarkWu1041

Sorry, but something misunderstanding between us, there are not such kind of prototype called cost… But the cost is most important in prototype tool purchasing.
Beside, I have some new collect information about popular and useful prototype tools like Adobe XD, Invision, Axure RP, Balsamiq Mock-ups, UX Pin, Flinto, PhotoLine, FramerJS…

@Methew_Bond: you seem to have missed the point of this discussion. The point is not to list as many types of software as possible, but to say which one you use yourself, and what you like or dislike about it. I’m sure @MarkWu1041 could find a long list for himself with an Internet search, but that’s not what he wants; what he wants is reviews by people actually using the different options.

Hi MarkWu1041

Can you tell me which prototyping tool that you dont know about anything ,so i help you…

Thanks Methew,

I’ve heard about FramerJS, but I never used this before.

And I thought PhotoLine is mainly about editing pictures, so I’m curious about how to make a prototype with this tool.

FramerJS : It is use to create animated or interactive prototypes. It is best way to transcribe an elaborate design intention into something people can play with. It is to prototype web as well as desktop apps. It designed to play with other product designer tool.

For detail of framerJS tool , i think you reffer Framer Example Book. I also reffer this book , it shows all about frammer with examples…

Thank, Methew.

I like reading, this ebook is very useful. Thank you.
