Webscribble: Webjobs: PROBLEMS: Buyer Beware!

And just some comments from the internet:

“ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THE TECH SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE!!! and thats an understatement. I have been using their softwhere for alomst a year and honestly I do not think they are in the US. The communication is horrible. I like the software and would recommend it but YOU BETTER ALREADY KNOW HOW TO MANAGE AND DO THINGS YOURSELF!!”

“I bought this software a few years ago and can’t get any support whatsoever, even though I offer to pay for what I ask for. The admin area is a little user friendly and the software is great but don’t expect any good support from this company.”

“They are horrible at customer support. I have tried to contact somebody by email, phone and their online support with NO SUCCESS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. You will end up with a software they will not support.”

"I purchased some software from this company. What a huge mistake that was. The software was not installed correctly. I tried to get someone on the phone, but I could not get any live help. There online help was useless because I could never get an answer from anyone. If I had some advice to give someone thinking about buying this software I would say stay a mile away from this company!.

Run as fast as you can!"

"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!

If you have problems with this company go to the link below and file a complaint.

“Webscribble is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I bought their webdate program for my site, which helps people with HIV to meet others with HIV. They do not respond to emails, their tech support is terrible. I was at my wits end with them. It was so frustrating! Even when I wanted to purchase more items/plug ins from them, they would not respond to me. Worst customer service ever. They also would not respond to my web designer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I also had so many problems with their webdate software–to which I could get no help on. For instance, when the site was all set-up, and you would click man seeking woman–it would give you men. If you clicked woman seeking man–it would give you woman. I had so many complaints from people. I wouldn’t recommend their software even if it was free.”

“Webscribble is one of the WORST companys I have ever dealt with online. The list is so longgggggggggg that I don’t feel like writing about it all…. plus, I also do not believe they are actually based in New York. I think they are overseas somewhere. I have been dealing with them for three years - I keep thinking things will improve… I am still very unhappy.”

“All the positive comments are added by the robbers themselves.
All their script are unfinished, with tons of bugs, and not maintained at all (Webstore is V1.0 for 2 years and no update at all and it crash, has security issue)
Webscribble is a scam period.
I’ve found this interesting story btw gamemusicshop()com/index()html
IF you buy anything from them and it does not work, you’ll NEVER see your money back…”

Only together we will put an end to this WebDate Scam. I am starting a legal case now, hope you will also do this.

Their software contains a copyright protection build-in.
They can disable your website if they want and the copyright protection is doing it’s work every month automatically so that means if you ever have a disabled website because of this protection script or module in webdate even when you’re a lifetime member and paid for everything, then you will probably have it every month untill you find a solution yourself! They didn’t tell me about the copyright protection at the moment of purchase! If your webdate script is working great on a 3th party hoster (example hoster 3ix) it doesn’t mean the build in copyrightprotection will… You end up with a blank screen and probably downtime (every month) instead of a website even when you paid for everything. It’s about webdate from webscribble (dating software script)
I decided to quit using the script because even when i change hoster (or hosting from webscribble) the copyright module is still there hiding in the script and nobody can guarantee me that i will not have downtime anymore since support doesn’t want to change anything related to the protection module. I paid and lost about 400$

I to have had nothing but trouble from webscribble. I purchased the webjobs, and its resume wizard add on and it paypal addon and none of these products work. I have also purchased there classifieds script and there webdate script and none of the products work.

The support team have no answers for any of the questions relating to the bugs and they never refund.

SO BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM Web Scribble Solutions Products.

I had to cut my losses and use none of the purchased products. What i don’t understand is why these guys are still in business. Is there no laws to stop them.

Same here … got cheated by these thugs !!! Is there nothing we can do to complain against such fraud sellers???

I wish I’d found this thread before I bought this POS a couple of days ago. I agree with all the comments above. The script is a disaster. I have filed a claim against them with PayPal

[EDIT] paypal don’t want to know. It seems they don’t care that the script is useless, only that I received it. I am now filing a complaint against PayPal with the Ombudsman. Feck!

Must say their service is very prompt… when it comes to asking for Money. They refused to handle a bug which came up because of their own software upgrades which are half-baked. They then send a quick paypal invoice before providing any technical assistance. And yes, their entire software is locked which means, in any case you will have to go to them for any assistance. Perfect Business Model, screw the customers.

I do not belive it! I decided I was getting nowhere with WebScrewup and I had to get the project done, so I bought the SmartBoard script.

Guess what? The installer doesn’t work.

And that’s as far as it gets.

There’s no directory . or /./

There must be a curse on me :frowning:

Things have improved at webscribble… they have a new webjobs available that is improved and they have new releases planned with extra features. They now have a members forum to discuss any bugs or problems, and the best part is they have a new guy working there called eugine and he fixes any problems listed in the forum instantly…

Things are looking up for webscribble lets hope they keep up the good work which was long overdue i might add.

It will take a lot more than that to repair the damage they’ve done over the years. Better to err on the side of caution.

I still would not recommend this Webscribble webjobs script. Here is why.

 1. The webscribble webjobs is a spam magnet since none of their submit forms support CAPTCHA - this can be tested on their demo site.
 2. If you submit an attached resume\cv, the notification is sent to the site owners email address, rather than to the job posters address.
 3. The script does not support SMTP and uses phpmailer, so your notifications are bound to end up in spam\junk folders or not be delivered PERIOD.
 4. The ‘featured employers’ new feature does not place jobs posted by the featured employer above the none featured ones. Further, their is no identifier that the jobs have been posted by a featured employer. In essence the featured employer ONLY shows up on the front page.
 5. The new ‘Indeed Backfill’ does not respect the ‘Job Type’ when doing a quick search.
 6. The script does not support loggin using email address rather than username - this should be an option for the site owner.
 7. Passwords are NOT encrypted in the database. Since nobody knows what all those encrypted files contain, I strongly believe that they have backdoor access to your site… (…hmmm… enough said)

Since my support contract with them has expired, and their forums require one to have a support contract in place to post, In fairness to them, I have emailed this link to their support and to alexander and hopefully they will address these issues here.

If anybody else has issues with their script and don’t have access to their forums or have not been suckered into buying support to report bugs, please add to this thread. I suspect they will be monitoring it since I plan on ‘reminding’ them every so often to check here

PS: To report the above bugs and have them resolve via their support process would cost me $72.25. In these hard times, and as a license holder, I doubt I will be paying that – even to access their “Community Forum”.

No response from webscribble… Not surprising since thats how they operate. Just sent them another ‘reminder’ to visit this thread.

I agree - Webjobs - This copyright protection is an aching scam and worse still - the Admin Area which contains very sensitive information about your users etc will only work if the webscribble site is working!!

Invasive and insulting.

Have had the webjobs for three months now and it contains several bugs. The recent problems with its own web site demonstrates why having copyright protection is such an appalling idea.

I understood that I have bought a site which was free from basic restrictions and NOT subject to a lifetime’s tie -in this is not the case.

They are replete in the art of flannel in their sales speil and one of the very worts aspects is their continuous self praise which are posted on various forums, under the guise of independent comments.

Here’s the laugh…they cant even write the reviews well - its like a child is telling lies about who ate the chocolate cake - which is plastered all over his face!!

I could run through the vast number of bugs, the poor quality support, poor php design - but this is nothing as like knowing that they are actually SPYING on your every move using the copyright nonsense.

What is clear is that the script will never be free of their clutches and that gives enormous suspicion of potential sabotage…espcially at the time when the free support is expiring!

You will then become their hostage and with scripts that have so many bugs, you’ll be paying forever.

Any group of folks capable of BS as much as them.

Their web site is currently down:

my web site’s hosting works fine, the admin area which I now discover is peramanently connected to their servers also does not work. What a surprise.

I’ll wager an each way on:
they’ve gone out of business
they have been spammed
they’ve done a “runner”
They’d better have a good explanation for this - I MAD AS HELL.

Look for another jobs board script.

Guys - it’s fine to air your frustrations regarding the software, but please try and keep it civil and avoid any personal insults.

WARNING…DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Once they have your money, your done!

Any recommendation for another job board ?

Webscribble Webjobs has out done themselves.

So, today I went to download their latest version with a prayer that there had been an improvement. Alas, they have disabled my ability to download the script.

When I bought it in 2007, it came with a lifetime license. Today, they are asking for $144. This is a classic example of bait and switch.

If the product worked that would have been different. I can officially term webscribble as a bunch of crooks! - This is not a personal attack.

Hi mrmwangi
the $141 is actually worth it. webjobs is nothing like it used to be before. Webjobs now works and there are new features added every 2 months or so. They now have skilled staff that work on the program and they are showing 100% improvement.

a year or so ago i would have agreed with the negative approach to webjobs but now i can honestly say i have done a complete turnaround.

The latest update alone has facebook login and linkedin login features, the skins they supply are perfect and so easy to change from one to another and to customise if need be, they also have the iphone skin for iphones and ipads.

There is a whole new vision going on at webscribble and they are heading the right direction, i give them a 10 out of 10 for the latest webjobs.

Have a good look at what your getting for the $141 its worth every cent. If we want webjobs to keep growing and to keep up to date with the latest features than the guys at webscribble do need to be paid so they can survive like the rest of us.

pay the $141 and update to the latest webjobs you wont be disapointed…

Boats09

Yeah, right.

Why do you imagine we want that, after the horror you have put us through for donkey years?

How about you honor your agreement with him instead? Or better still, pay for him and all the other folks duped and frustrated away after paying you good money? Why am I even wasting my time responding to this nonsense…

i think you are mistaken Sola, i am not webscribble i am a customer of webscribble… and as a customer i can say that yes there was nightmares in the past but things are different now and i am so happy with webjobs and its functions… test it for yourself if you dont believe me…

Pish posh. Go hawk that to another ignoramus elsewhere.
