I’m currently sourcing a U.S based manufacturer for custom precision metal stamping mainly for telecom and EMI/RFI shielding components.

Requirements include:

  • Tight tolerances

  • In-house tooling capability

  • Secondary operations (forming, tapping, plating coordination, etc.)

  • Smooth transition from prototyping to production

I came across AK Stamping Company, Inc**.** during research, but I’d like real-world feedback from people who’ve worked with them or similar suppliers.

How was their engineering collaboration?
Did they help optimize part design for cost reduction?
How consistent was quality in mid-to-high volume runs?

Also open to other recommendations if you’ve had strong experience elsewhere.

A forum for web developers probably isn’t the place to go for recommendations on your metal stamping company. While there may be some developers who do sites for such things, I would expect the chances are minuscule.
