Tutorial for embedding video with audio

I want to make sure that, when she decides on which clips to use, I can get both the audio and the video to play. The examples for HTML5 tags seem to involve video or audio, but not both (in sync). I just want to make sure that I offered to try something that is doable. Is there a tutorial out there that can help me do a proof of concept?
