As you can see my title for the thread. I have few questions to ask. What’s the standard size for a website template ? 800px or 900px ? where can I get informations on those standards?

Neither are standard.
I guess the most common fixed width designs hover around 780px +/- 20px.
800px wide is silly as if you just go an extra 20px smaller you will keep those still using 800px wide screens happy. 20px to keep the dreaded horizontal scrollbar off of 5% of your visitors screens seems like a good idea to me.
