SPRY Accordion Woes

Hey guys, me again.

I’ve set up a page for my client to list all of their services via categorized accordion tabs. The page is working fine, for the most part. Whenever I view the page in IE8, and open one of the larger panels (say ‘facials’) the sticky footer jerks upwards violently upon closing said panel.

This isn’t so much of an issue if you navigate the site properly and use the arrow keys for Spry navigation, but I’m wondering if there’s some sort of browser fix to make the open/close animations smooth.

I’m aware that the large panels, well, shouldn’t be so large, but this is at the specific request of the client. Somebody lend me their javascript magic!

thanks in advance,

Your accordian code might be at fault. If I open an accordion, then click its title bar to close it, the text above it jumps up and then down. Try the accordion code here, which I’ve used on a site of my own.

I found it easy to implement and it quite simply works.

PS you can see it in action on my site at www.ukfolkfestivals.co.uk
