Problem with USB to VGA Convertor

I am using the attached product for connecting two monitors to a single desktop machine. The problem here being faced is at times my applications such as outlook and excel opens in the extended window. Then it has to be dragged to the main window manually.

Can anyone advise of some settings that cna be used to ensure no applications opens in the extended window until it really is dragged to the next window.

I think it depends upon which monitor is set as “main” in the OS you’re using. I know that in Windows (XP, 7; not sure about 8) you can go to display settings, pick a monitor, and set it as main.

Windows apps remember their last position so if you used them in the secondary monitor that is where they will appear.

I’m not sure why this is a problem, it is kind of why one has two monitors.
