Printing colours? percentage of black

Hi Guys,

wondering if anyone can help me make sense of this

i have created a letterhead in cmyk all set up for print in photoshop

the letterhead has a watermark logo on it set at 10% opacity (a very light grey)

it also has a vector mask over it which makes it fade into white

the printer has said it is currently set at 2% black but it needs to be a minimum of 10% black

is this just a matter of increasing the opacity?

It is probably easier to make a copy of the layer then apply the mask permanently. Then instead of an opacity use a solid fill of 10% black.

Simplify the process so that it is straightforward.

Slackr is right you must make a duplicate layer then don’t use opacity instead use solid fill.
