How I can place a price for banner(graphic design)?
thanks guys
I wasn’t saying that you needed to charge $320, just showing you what the process might look like. As for multiplying by two, I just did that because things always take longer than expected. You don’t have to multiply by two - 50% might work as well, but one just has to factor that in. If you feel that your time estimate is very close though, you could just leave projected time as is and bill on your estimate without increasing it at all.
why must multiply by 2?
imo it depends on size and complexity…
then, if it’s a plain gif/jpeg - will be cheaper
if Flash - more expensive
anyways, i would pay $300 only for a medium-to-big banner with good quality requirements… i would say, no more than $150-200 for a generic banner…
as the work can be made remotely, world regions are somewhat mixed for that type of job imo…
Estimate the amount of time it will take you and double that. Pick an hourly rate that is reasonable in your area (assuming you are in the USA, at least $40 per hour). Then decided whether you will need to buy any images and factor those into the cost as well. This is how you might work out your estimate:
Estimated Time
3 hours
Hourly Rate
$45 per hour
Stock Images
4 - total of $50
Total Price:
3 x $45 x 2 + $50 = $320
That depends on the job and how much work can be expected.
I suggest to post the specification of the project so you can get a better response.
