Possible with FireBug or something to inspect element & find original source file?

I was just gonna take a shot the dark. Is it possible by “inspecting element” in a WordPress site to find the source file name of where that element exists?

I’m annoyed by inspecting an element > being able to edit the HTML > but not being able to save the HTML or find the file that it’s in.

… nope. =p

However, a handy trick with Wordpress themes is to wrap each of your theme files with HTML comments, like:

<!-- Start header.php -->
<p>My header codes i here</p>
<!-- End header.php -->

Then you can look at your HTML code and find the issue pretty easily.

I also run an optimization plugin on my blog which strips these out if I have my debug mode turned off.

Ok thanks for the tip, frustrating!
