Surprised there is no thread regarding this yet. So… are you playing Pokemon Go? What are your experiences with it? Feel free to use this thread for the game and even meet up with each other in the real life

I am currently Level 11 and Team Mystic (Blue)

The game is pretty big in Tirana, Albania (my city) right now and we have over 200 people playing it in the city (those who are involved in the community). Here is a photo of a recent “raid” we had with Team Blue, over 20 “trainers” getting together to catch Pokemon in the city. Funny thing is, the mayor of Tirana retweeted it:

It’s not available in the UK.

I suppose you can get it via apk (be careful with the source)

I don’t need an app for that.
I found this accidentally while out walking. Who needs AR?

I really liked the game more to spend gas to find the Pokemon is not easy . I prefer to catch pokemon without wasting energy . hahaa

I’m level 11, almost 12. Total addiction. It’s a fun game.

Me, my wife, and a friend have been driving all around town taking over gyms and hitting pokestops. It’s crazy seeing people in popular areas all playing, especially when lures are dropped.

Apparently, I get a lot more than most people at my house. I usually get 2-3 popup for every refresh.

My view from my desk. :disappointed: I was really hoping on being able to stock up on Pokeballs while I worked.

I prefer the original games for the Nintendo console. Gives you a better experience.

I’m still just a level 7 on Team Mystic.

I’m mostly on my own here in Boston, so I’ve been trying to find some groups to go out with. My work office is in the middle of nowhere so there are no Pokestops or Pokemon around really.

It’s a pretty cool game but I definitely think they need to add some more features quick

It went up earlier today. I have it installed now, but it can be kind of hard to get logged on at times - servers still struggling to cope I think.

They are rough. At quitting time (3-5pm) and prime time (8ish), the servers have been every day since it’s been out.

I’m new players should remain level 1. I have to change gps the place of the play.

I am going to play this game…

Not available in dubai

Pokemon is awesome, I would play it every day.

I live in small town, so I’m not able to catch them all, and to be honest I don’t have time to walk around :joy:

Does anyone catch Snorlax  ?

By “everyday”, do you mean the actual games on the Nintendo console or Pokemon Go? The actual games give you a better experience as Pokemon is originally for the Nintendo consoles.

The actual games are better IMO because it is way more competitive. You have to be really strategic, you have to know math, and it’s all about prediction and countering. Which I bet Pokemon Go doesn’t have.

We were in a city down south over the weekend, and there were whole groups of people walking around playing the stupid game. Walking out in front of cars, dressing up in costume, ugh…

The pool my son works at has one that someone put at the bottom of a slide. My son has been telling people they have to go up the slide and come down it to capture the pokemon. Luckily for them, the lifeguards at the top of the slide are straightening them out…what’s sad is how many of them are falling for the trick…

You do realize that you can’t just place a pokemon somewhere right? They are loaded in locations by the game itself, not the players.

Mostly, it’s due to the hype. If people were to do something that isn’t “trendy” or “hype”, they would look stupid. Just facts.

Example, when planking came out, people would do it to the point where they would just cause trouble and think it’s a cool thing to do. Some people would do it ontop of police cars and such and people would get in trouble. Imagine planking not being a thing and a trend. People would think that’s just pure stupid.
