Page too wide in IE7

i’ve got a strange width problem with this site in Internet Explorer 7 (or at least in IE8 compatability view)

basically, the page is too wide (a bug that appears on many of the sites pages). although if you click Demo (on the homepage) and then “Performance” in the navigation bar, you get to the Performance page which more severely broken (too tall as well as much too wide)

regarding the code, the middle DIV (#pagewidth) is supposed to be either 1000px wide or 1150px wide depending on the size of the browser window. & in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera & IE8 it is. its only IE7 that renders it differently (i’m assuming IE8 Compatibility mode = IE7)

anyway, if anyones got any ideas please shout them out

Well I should mention that you have many background images not appearing in IE7 IEtester as well, due to multiple BG images not being supported in IE. I’m not getting any scrollbars or anything in IE, nor FF. The only thing I’m really seeing messed up is all the images not showing up due to the CSS3.

My IEtester seems to not show bugs a lot in IE7 :-(.

All I can suggest for now is validate your HTML, which has a few big issues. Your CSS is just basically all CSS3 invalidations.
