I run a Disney website which I’ve recently expanded it with the addition of several columns. I’m debating how best to write the title tags for those columns.
Should I use just the column name?
The column name and the article name?
Just the article name?
For example, here’s how I’m doing it now:
Disney Dispatch | Morsels from the Mouse: Jiko Dining Review
I’ve got the site name, the column name, and the article name in there. Too much? What’s best for SEO?
The title appears in the bar at the very top of the browser window and also when a tabbed browser is used it appears in the tab. You want something descriptive at the front of the title so that when someone has a dozen tabs open that they can still tell easily which one is your page.
Bob, title is the most important element in On Page SEO. If you want the best advice you should mention the exact keywords for which your homepage will be optimized. Use that keyword in the beginning of the title, attach CTA (Call to Action Tag) at the end along with the site name if your site is a brand and you want to promote it.
