As far as I haven’t done on page SEO for a website. What is the very first step in on page SEO?

In on-page having many things like meta title, meta keywords, meta description, check the url structure, content optimization, google mapping, setup google analytics and google webmaster, image alt tag, add robots.txt, generate sitemap.xml for search engine and sitemap.html for user, 404 error, 310 redirect.
