My site is going down in ranking day by day

My site was doing well in ranking in august 11 , the ranking was 215000 in alexa but after this month my site ranking is going down day by day and today it reached 573797. The indexed pages also going decreased day by day . Anyone can helps me why this is going on.

I am doing seo for this site from last 6 months in starting 2 months it doing well but after this the backlinks increases also the blog posting, social bookmarking and directory submission regulary , but still not able to find the exact cause of my site ranks decreasing .

You said that you are doing SEO for your site from last 6 months but now the ranking is going down day by day…

I just want to ask have you ever used a black hat technique for your website…??if yes please remove it immediately from your site and start using white hat techniques.

Also i want to tell you that recently google panda update is happened and the change aimed to lower the rank of “low-quality sites”, and return higher-quality sites near the top of the search results. So please check for following things:

The content must be original and of quality.
The back links you have must be of quality and are relevant to your site.

you should focus on your sites content and links, both are useful to any website improvement.

Are you losing your traffic from search engines too?
If no, then why you are worrying about Alexa rank… Its not worth considering. Alexa traffic stats are not accurate, it just count Alexa traffic (people with Alexa toolbar on their system) on your website.
Just install Alexa toolbar on your website and on your system.

Visit your website a few times in a day, also also your friends, relatives and colleagues to do so… this will increase your Alexa rank.

So, you can see that Alexa rank is very easy to manipulate and its not the accurate traffic stat. So you, better, must not bother about it.

I never checked alexa rankings of my website & what i always check is how much traffic I am getting from search engines :wink:

Which keywords your site ranking down. Alexa depend on traffic not a ranking… IF your site ranking down then build quality back links for your site…

Ignore Alexa ranking. This shouldn’t be your focus. What is important is:

  • Where you’ve been creating backlinks
  • Frequency of creation of backlinks
  • The sector/niche you’re competing in
  • The content on each page

Like Bristol says, ignore Alexa, it doesn’t matter.

Actually, all those things are what people would do naturally, why would you call it spamming?

The only answer is hard work, hard work and more hard work. Then read the thousand threads that explain how to but, like everything in life, there are no miracles :wink:

The only reply is you must do hard work and only use white hat techniques for “SEO”. Don’t bother about Alexa Ranking, its only countable in traffic purpose. As we all know the SEO is turtle and will show its results after taking some time not immediately. So please use the quality backlinks and do quality work for your website on regular basis and have patience.

If you are still doing SEO correctly (no black hat), and the number of visitors of your site is not dropping, then there is no reason to worry about Alexa Rank. From my experience Alexa Rank rises and it drops with no effect on my number of visitors.

Hi dude,
This is a normal situation and now what can you do is starting to create backlinks again. Don’t go to build 100 backlinks in oneday and it is best to build 10 backlinks a day and 100 in 10 days.

There are several ares that need a check in order to resolve the issue:

  1. check whether you have duplicate content in web site
  2. check for duplicate meta-tags
  3. Check your web site up time
  4. please check whether any spam sites has linked to your web site
  5. Make sure that your robots.txt is in correct format
  6. Insert a sitemap.xml file in to web site root which contains almost all the urls
  7. check the crawling rate of Google bots to your web site, if it is less means increase the crawling rate. you can do it either through Google web master tool or through web site code
