After many years using open source software I recently dove feet first into my first major contribution to the Drupal 8 project.

Due to it’s nature I’ve been exploring the underpinnings of Drupal 8 and Symphony. It’s been fun so far. Here’s hoping it’s included in the 8.0 release - it will be quite invaluable I think (which is why I’ve went to the trouble to write it). Any thoughts, questions, concerns?

I didn’t read all of the comments in “Assertion Handling” so I’m not sure what you mean by “Hiding older patches”

Is this to speed up the testing and make it more efficient?

I’ve submitted 6 patches in total. Only the most recent and it’s interdiff are relevant. Those new to the thread simply need to read the newest patch.
