For a client we published a new version of her website. When she is sending message from Instagram messaging system, a picture from the old website is coming up.
How can I say to Instagram to update this information ?
This print scren shows the instagram messaging window with a reference to the website and the old image, not existing anymore on the current server
Have you tried scraping (debugging) the link? https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/
Give it a few goes and some time - if it works for fb, should work for ig as well!
We solved this issue contacting Instagram thru their support.
Out of curiousity, what was the solution? Just a question of Instagram caching their result?
Exactly I don’t know: that is my client who contacted Instagram’s support explaining the issue and a few days later it was ok.
