Hi, I am new into web developing field,I want to make an website like twitter for my community in wordpress or any other platform.
I had already tried BuddyPress, but i dont want function like “Add Friend”.
I want function like “follow” on twitter or instagram.
Please suggest me any other plugin or anything else.

No i haven’t tried slack yet.

No it didn’t worked for me.
I want every registered user on my site should be able to follow another registered user.
I had attached screenshot of Instagram.
I just googled this and apparently there’s an option to disable “Friend Connections” right in the admin dashboard… haven’t tried it myself, though.
