I see most people nowadays use their mobiles to access the web. Do you think in the next years this phenomena will increase? Please give any statistics or studies you read recently regarding this.
Some stats. Mobile vs desktop: http://gs.statcounter.com/#mobile_vs_desktop-ww-monthly-201207-201307
On the websites I manage, about 30-35% of all visitors are using mobile devices.
I imagine in different areas of the world it’s more, and in other areas it’s less. Whether it goes up or down in the future is anyone’s guess.
Is mobile browsing something you should consider when building a website? Yes. It isn’t going away anytime soon.
I don’t call it the future.
Because really that is common.
As a web developer we need to adapt the latest technology always.
It’s likely that, in the near future, there will be more people accessing the web on smaller, portable devices than on the desktop. All trends seem to be pointing in that direction, so it has big implications for how sites are designed and built. Sites that are only usable on a big screen with a broadband connection are becoming less viable.
Definitely this one.
In creating a website nowadays, optimizing it for mobile is already a requirement not just an option.
Do you maintain a web site? Can you look at the logs for the past few years and check your own visits? Our own company logs indicate a growing number of visitors accessing our site via mobile devices.
In the next coming years or future, according to the survey, mobile apps has came up with a new emerging business tools and it is expected that till 2017, at least 25% more mobile user will use this.
