Inpect & Find Style?

My answer may be right be right in front of me.

I was using firebug in hopes I could highlight a tag/div/class etc and it would show me the style associated with it, when I inspect a tag it shows me the same style in the style area within firebug

I’m sure I’m misunderstanding your issue, but that’s what Firebug does. You may edit the style properties and values from within Firebug, and see the results immediately in the browser.

Can you be more explicit concerning what you want?

Try this.

In Firefox, click on Firebugs inspect tool (cursor arrow), then click on the Sitepoint logo in the top left corner.

If Firebug is working, this what you should see at the top of the Style pane:

#header h1 span, #header .title span {
    background: url("http://i2.sitepoint.com/images/new/logo.png") no-repeat scroll left top transparent;
    height: 67px;
    min-width: 209px;
    position: absolute;
    width: 50%;
}

What do you see?

Victorinox - I see the same thing :slight_smile: I suppose what I’m inspecting uses the same style that firebug is analyzing !
