Implementing captcha in my website

Hi All,

I am new to this forum, would be really great if anyone can help me out here.
I want to implement captcha in my website for additional security. Want to implement the best practice,would be great if any free service provider otherwise paid options are not a constraint too.

Would be easier and recommended if any option that can be integrated with my java code since I found many php options hence i was not comfortable enough with them. Any api based services or front end (javascript) options would be of great help.

Check Google reCAPTCHA

Implemented this, but it gives me image captcha. How about if i need alphanumeric or customize it to make it more user friendly in version2.
