I have posted twice...where is my post?

Hi, I have posted a question two times to the Forums but my post is not showing up and when I go into my profile it is not showing that I have posted? Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

I am attempting to post a question asking about some code that I copied from a site that controls the page flip function of a magazine. I am wondering if the code is generated from InDesign CS3 or CS4 or if the code was generated using a software program of some sort or if the code was written in Flash or another program.

I tried to post the code but my post is not showing up…I guess maybe the code makes the post too lengthy?

Anyway, If you think you can help me figure out how the code was generated so that I can create the page flip feature for my magazine, please send me a link to send the code to you.

Thanks.

When I posted the first one I thought that my computer did something weird and that it caused the post not to show up…then, I tried again and got the message that "if there are any urls’ the post would not show…sooooooo, I posted again without the urls’ and it still did the same thing…

I thought I was having computer issues.

I will always wait a few minutes to see if it shows up from now on…

Thank you for being nice to the Newbie

Any posts in either the Introductions or General Chat forums will not contribute to your post count

:hat:
I have already posted twice, I see my posts, instead I see on my panel and under my nickname : Posts: 0.
Is there some problem ? :faq1:

Thanks !

:umbrella:

P.S. Now I see Posts: 1
… (1 = 3-2) …

Did you have any urls or links in the post, if so the posting would have been blocked, post urls like www (dot) sitepoint (dot) com

To be able to post links your post count needs to be 5 or above. Posts in the Introductions and General Chat forums don’t count towards post count. Any signatures can’t be seen by search engines and all links are no-follow.

they have been sorted Hawk… but posting every 5 min doesn’t help

We look at the moderation queu but sometimes it takes a little while

I would suggest that you contact a member of the staff if you have problems. Posting and duplicating questions all around the forum drives me mad and I am alaready a bit crazy  (meaning that you were asking this very question in the Actionscript forum).

Hi KMCGDE,
Your posts have gone into a moderation queue. I’ll sort them out for you now.

It’s our fault really Molona.

We need to make it clear that in some forums under some circumstances, threads go into a moderation queue and need to be cleared by a moderator before they display.

That is what happened in your case KMCGDE. I hope you’re getting some answers to your question now!

Certainly, it is our fault :agree:

KMCGDE, one reason why I stay at SP is because they (now we) are nice to the newbies. In many ways, I’m a newbie at some aspects of design, snazzy mentor badge notwithstanding. Unlike some design forums which I will not mention, the folks at SP don’t look at a newbie with the purpose of mocking or humiliating him/her in front of the “in crowd.” That’s juvenile and stupid, and in my experience, we don’t sink to that level. If and when that happens in these forums, you can bet that I (and many others) will put an end to it quickly.

Having said all that yibber-yabber, welcome to the forums!

we have just moved our hosting for She-essence, and it would appear that a few of the posts made today have been lost in the process.

If you are waiting on a response to anything, please check that your post is still here, you may need to re-enter it.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused

Huh?!

That must’ve been a hectic move, if they ended up writing in another forum

Perhaps we’ve gotten to the bottom of his lost posts. They’re here!
