How to Market Your Business on a Shoestring

I feel really motivated to pursue my business again. Thanks for your great advice. Cheers!

Awesome article! Encouragement was exactly what this new web business owner needed to stand straight again. It’s so easy to feel drowned in the SEO mumbo jumbo when you are just a small fry, trying to nail your target audience and get the right presence on the web. My creativity capabilities weren’t in question here, but after reading this article I realized that I needed to focus my efforts and now I can clearly see WHAT it is that I need to focus on. Hurrah for Andrew!

Great article. Anyone considering doing their own business should read this.

Wow, some great ideas there, I especially like your networking example. I’m going to try some of these strategies for my ticket broker site and see if I can’t increase my sales!

That was cool!!! I learned lots of ideas for our business… they should always post this kind of stuffs in the future for references at least… :agree:

yeah that was a really good read

Great article. Thanks

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Good article, Thanks Andrew

Excellent!

couldn’t be written any better. Thanks alot. Some of these things I do, some i need to. Overall i learned alot from your advice.

Thanks alot!

pretty nice article

well really useful, important for starters

Excellent article. Very poignant.

Interesting calling on the 100-250 people you already know. He assumes that you’re not fresh out of University, and the 100-250 people you know are at least semi-professionals. I’d be interested in hearing suggestions on less contact oriented marketing for people that are not ex-company men/women with contacts in your target market already.

People, who are just out from college may also be very valuable reference - most of them get any job or have job in own business. They may know needs and make suggestions.

Do not think, you need 100-200 directors, bosses, managers etc.
Good luck

I like the idea about presenting to trade associations. But how do you find these groups?
