How to add an option to limit the number of orders for WordPress e-store?

I have a store on wordpress was created using Wp shopcart plugin which can be seen here;

Now I wanted to add an option in setting panel that will allow me to limit the orders per day, for example, 100 orders per day.

I’m curious as to why you would want to do that. Isn’t it the goal of most businesses to have as many sales as possible?
