How do I remove the straight slash (|) in Wordpress title tag?

Hi -

I’m not sure I’m posting in the right area, so please forgive me if I’m not. I’ve run into this problem on a few of my Wordpress blogs, using different themes, and I can not figure out where this mysterious “|” is coming from!

There is a “|” appearing at the beginning of my title tag on my Wordpress blog that I did not put there and really want to remove it. Does anyone know how to do it? I’ve re-entered the title, made sure there’s no space before it. I’ve re-installed the header.php file, and nothing seems to work.

The site that this is appearing on is http://bigbear-cabinsforrent.org
I’m using the exact same theme on another site, but this errant character is not showing up on this one. http://buysecuritycamerashop.com

If anyone could solve this very aggravating problem, I would be much appreciative. Thanks!

Could you show me the code that you have inside the <title></title> tags inside your header.php file?

Hi Galen -

Thank you for your reply, but I think I found the issue. The plug-in “Platinum-SEO-Pack” was causing the problem. So I deleted that plug-in and am just using All-In-One SEO instead.

It’s bizarre, because sometimes Platinum SEO added this |, and sometimes not.

So problem solved!

Thanks again for taking the time to respond. You rock!

Stacey

No problem.
