Help with upgrade

I want to upgrade PHP from 5.2.11 to 5.3.6. I downloaded the .tar.bz2 file and then unzipped it to php-5.3.6.tar. I then unzipped that into the file structure so now it’s in a directory named 5.3.6.

I’m not sure what to do next. When I installed 5.2.11 I used Kevin Yank’s book and he had great step by step instructions to get it and Apache installed.

To upgrade, do I follow the same instructions? Or is there a better place to get the step by step. I am doing this on a local Windows XP machine. Thanks

Never mind, can’t do it with windows is my understanding.

Thanks. I got it finally. What should have taken me about 30 minutes took the better part of a day. Ain’t learning wonderful! :slight_smile:
