Help with browsers other than ie

I am working on a site located at http://christinekossman.com

I am new to css so could use some help. The site looks great on IE but on ipad and apple the main header and nav menu do not align correctly and the page is not centered.

The first thing to do is to fix errors. If you run the site through the W3 Validator, it throws up 65 errors. Many layout bugs can be traced back to errors in the HTML.
