Ha! Float question?

I’m not failing to take something into account am I? The below text and layout will always be set up like this. Via some simple testing I see no need to clear this float. Everything seems to perform just fine without the clear (or containing). But before I spend a considerable amount of time taking all the non-breaking spaces out of one of my poorly coded sites I thought I’d check.

Yes, the BR in there should do the trick. You are not clearing anything per se, but it will break the line and will position the following text below that link.

OK cool thats what I figured thanks!

Hm but then you will have someone in block context next to inline text. If that causes an issue in one of teh IEs, check it.

Hello :~)

As long as I put the float first then all seems well in ie too.
