Thanks web visionZ - your solution worked
I’m working through a couple of web analytics books at the mo and this was a suggested method to track the source of visitors to a specific page.
I must admit when I used to used clicktracks in a previous job it was alot easier and doubted I could do it in google analytics but i can thanks to you
Yes you can view the data of the traffic coming out from this url… Your parameter is ok, just one thing you have to remember that if you url already contains a “?” mark i.e if by any chance your url is dynamic in nature then you have to use “&” only, rest is fine.
To view your data
Just Login to your Analytics Account.
Select the site on view reports tab.
Now under Traffic Source tab on the left hand side>>
Select the required source like “direct traffic” or “search engine” or “keyword” etc.
After selecting the required source as the report opens up, below the “visits” data there is clickable dropdown menu where by default “source” is selected. To view the data click on that dropdown menu then you be able to see a long list where you have to select landing page. Finally you will be able to view your specific page traffic.
