Google is in the process of updating

Forgive me if this is a common issue, but after reading this thread, I checked a site I made about 2 months ago to find it went from 0 - 2. I then was using a different browser tab for about 10mins, and when I went back, my site now had a PR1. That was yesterday; today it shows as PR0.

So, I checked the PR of other sites I’ve made for various clients - these sites ranged from PR2 - 5… and now they all show as PR0.

I have a feeling it is due to either the PR updates needing more time to be finalized on all datacenters or it is a problem with my Google Pagerank tool in Firefox.

Does anyone know of other reasons for this? Has anyone else been through this?

those who see PR change: do you see it in the toolbar already?

my pr in google directory seems to be higher than the one in the toolbar. does it mean the toolbar value will change in this update as well?

thanks
james

I do, but there’s still a few datacenters that show the old. So far I’ve been on the updated ones all day.

See http://seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank/ to check all DC’s.

well i notice a page rank update at many sites

my sites few pages get pr updated

but my main page didnt :S same PR

my site did not get my pr its same but my many new pages get PR updated , i am happy

but i am also surprised that my main page is the same as it was before… can any one tell me why this happpened. even my backlinks to my main page is doubled now…

i went from 0 links to 326:D

I jumped PR 0 to PR 4
Not too many backlinks, but a few good PR sites linking back

I’m happy.

To those people, whose PR increased from 0 to x, have you started getting traffic from google? I am trying to judge the sandbox theory.

My main site when from a 6 to a 5. :frowning:

I had three other sites stay on 4, and one stayed on 5.

I had one new site go from 0 –> 4, and three new sites go from 0 –> 5.

I’m sad about losing that PR 6, but overall it was a pretty good update.

  1. There is no sandbox. And, even if there was, PR was not a part of it (no matter which version you subscribed to).

  2. PR updates only change what you see in the toolbar. PR is updated by Google regularly (probably daily) so you won’t see any kind of changes based on this “PR Update”.

I didn’t have too much of an update at all, but I at least kept my current status. I had one site stay at 5, one site stay at 4. But I did have one that went from 0 to 2. I haven’t really been concentrating on boosting PR, but I guess that I should.

Give it a couple days and let it settle down. My views over the last updates are that sites go up then settle back down a little… atleast this is true for one domain I have that’s been banned from google for over a year. Each time google updates this site gets the old PR back of 5 then in a couple days it goes back down to zero until the next update then goes back up then down again!!

My other sites… all went up
Two new sites went up to PR6 (under 2 months old) and another two went to PR5 etc… I`m hoping they stay around 5 or 6

One went down and other one up.

Here are my sites:

Movie Trailers : PR5 to PR6 [7 mo old]
Movie Clips : PR0 to PR5 [1 mo old]

same here…from 4 to 5. waahhhh!

Yay, one of my domains went from 0 to 4, and since I haven’t even opened the site officially yet, I am happy with that. One of my other sites seems to be stuck at PR 5 forever.

my PR increase 2 to 3

Damn not a single site change, even though each of my sites have had about 300+ links added according to marketleap. My backlinks didn’t even update on a bunch of my 3 month old sites, still all showing the big 0 even though I know each has a couple hundread links easily.

You had 300+ links added according to google… that is what matters.

Ryan

i got some nice updates…

0 - 3
0 - 3
3 - 4
