I’ve been writing copy almost a year now & my question to the design community is this: How can we, as copywriters, help improve relations of the copy/design team? Suggestions?Opinions?Thorn of contentions?
You must have a clear idea of the content or else it would be really a difficult proposition to design it.
If copywriters could produce the content before us designers get round to the task then we would be better off
… or, you can’t properly get on with design and developing until you have a good idea what type of content you have.
The copy/design team’s relations came round for dinner earlier, and I can assure you they’re fine. They were concerened about your controlling nature though…
The earlier the copywriter can provide the real content for the pages, the easier it should be for the designer to get the design right for that content. It would be particularly relevant if the content is going to look substantially different from whatever generic text that the designer might be using as a placeholder in the design.
