Flash as background

Hi there,

I have experimented a bit with using Flash as background, and placing html on top of it. It seems to be working by setting <param name=“wmode” VALUE=“transparent”>.

Do you see any problems in this approach? I am asking this, because I am wondering what the reason might be that not more websites are using Flash for backgrounds.

Hi friend, there is no any problem to design like this. But as we all know that the swf file need more preloading time than simple background color, so the performance decreases. Its all up to you that your priority is the design or the performance.
