A lot of marketing work now runs on a single AI model — copy drafts, subject lines, audience segmentation, summaries. From what I’ve seen, most teams picked one provider early and never revisited it.
That worries me a bit. Models get deprecated, prices shift, and the “best” one for a given task changes month to month. If your whole workflow is wired to one provider’s quirks, switching later gets painful.
Curious how people here handle it:
- Do you standardize on one model, or keep things portable across providers?
- If you’ve switched models mid-project, how bad was the re-tuning?
- Do you actually test new models against your own tasks, or just trust the leaderboards?
Trying to work out whether “stay model-agnostic” is worth the upfront effort or just premature optimization for a small team.
