Is there any plugin which can be used to customize blog. I mean i want to hide everything that wordpress shows like comment box, date, etc.

Some templates do come with a panel to change certain features such as colors, the position of certain elements and if those elements are visible or not. You need to look into WP frameworks
Yes, you can edit the code. That’s the best option. How? You have to edit wp templates. How? Check wordpress.org, google, some tutorials…
Go to the Appearance Tab and under this setting choose the Editor option. You should find there the files needed to be edited to either remove or change the comment box, author name and etc…
Yes, you can close the comments, and edit the code of the template yourself, if you have knowledge of it (or try to search for tutorials).
