I’m too busy with other projects to continue to do SEO for some of my small business clients and they can’t afford to hire in-house or outsource to the big expensive SEO firms.
I was browsing on the Internet Warriors Marketing forums and see all sorts of services, “$99 Page 1 Google rank” etc etc. They all have pretty cheezy looking posts with tons of testimonials - red flags going up in my head why I see these. In fact that whole Warriors site has always puzzled me. I can’t figure out how much of that site is just a bunch marketing scams to make a quick buck and how much is actually real people posting useful messages! It seems to me most of these services are simple someone charging a fee and then using automated tools like Scrapebox, SWNuke, BF EVO, XRumer, etc. But I don’t even have time to use these tools so maybe these services would be worth it?
I recognize the value in a Pro SEO and realize the phrase “you get what you pay for” can come into play and that’s fine as I’m not debating the value of a good SEO. But these clients already have good ranking on 90% of the keywords and don’t really need full, comprehensive 360-degree SEO services. They just need a little periodic work to maintain their positions or boost a few keywords a few positions. Some sort of low-cost Virtual SEO Assistant is what would best describe what I’m looking for.
I noticed a lot of SEO’s use Vita Vees Article Spinning service (I question the value of article spinning though after the Panda update). But Vita Vee also offers the 9UpSEO service but strangely I can’t find anyone talking about it?
There’s quite a bit of buz around Matt Le Clear’s service (on the Warrior forum) also.
There’s got to be some consensus out there somewhere as to which handful of services are worth it and which popular ones are just crap/worthless?
As a general rule, most SEO services are no more than expensive snake oil that will do you no good at all. Sure, there are a few that are competent and effective, but these are very much in the minority. If your clients’ sites are generally doing well then you probably don’t need to worry about buying SEO services.
Yeah these kind of SEO services are useless. Most of them uses automated software.May be some are effective but the big question is how we can trust them.I think if you don’t have any time then hire an SEO via any freelancer site and give him strict instruction to follow only yours method (like article submission). It only required just to check his work.
you are very right dear friend,i appreciate your vies, actually SEO has its different phase like some clients need results and some need work, wheather whatever will be the result,so in my opinion you will have to clear your expectations and demands at the starting, what you will pay and what you want
I used some new guys i found on Warrior too they are called wejustlink and they have been ok so far, they give a free trial too if your interested. I even spoke to the guys who run it and they dont use automated programs i think and theyre based in the uk i believe.
I found the best way to ensure your not dealing with idiots is to get testimonials or talk to the guys who you might be paying. Hope this helps, and just make sure you do your homework before you buy, theres a thread on this forum about a guy who might be getting banned because his Indian SEO service spammed his competitors even when they claimed they were whitehat
Many people use fiverr for some work. I have for a few things but only when I can get a spreadsheet to follow up on. So far it’s been ok but I do have my reservations. Otherwise, the people I see on forums are usually using automated software and why pay someone to do what I could do myself if I wanted to. I look for “manual” work at a good price.
