I am new to the whole idea of bringing in some money from having websites, and building them for myself instead of others.
Most of the stuff you find on google seems to be cheap infomercial quality ebooks on how to make money from ads, network marketing, affiliate programs, etc.
Anybody know of any articles or guides they used when they started out?
How did you learn the ins and outs of building revenue from your websites?
Does general marketing knowledge apply very much to this area of expertise?
If you want to do a non-traditional business, you have probably heard of network marketing on social networks. For the network marketer, small business owner, social networks are a valuable Internet resource for advertising and prospecting. Making money in a MLM research the multi level marketing program you are thinking of joining.
Yeah Chris’ article on Website Publisher is a fantastic primer on this.
Sitepoint actually have a kit on the subject as well which I think is great (although I would say that as I co-wrote parts of it…) http://www.sitepoint.com/kits/revenue1/
