301 redirect on shared host – bad?

Hello

My client want to add a .com domain for his e-commerce site, besides the .se domain. So I’m going to do a 301 redirect on the new .com.

But, a friend told me that it would hurt the SERP if both domains are hosted on the same server.

Is it so? There are no duplicate of content so my guess is that it is safe to share the same host :confused:

I don’t think this will hurt if you host another domain on same server, just avoid linking with each other.
