it's been a long time since PR/backlinks updates have been desynchronized with SERPs updates.
Are you seeing those changes today ?

We saw backlinks changing on different Google servers but no indication of whether a PR update is coming.

Either my memory is too short, else the DCs haven't all caught up (I'm too lazy to check! ).

Otherwise, there's little change in backlinks showing.

I'm finally getting some backlinks, but I don't see a PR change yet.

Backlinks for all my sites dropped by between 500-800 links. Any idea of what could cause this?

IncTalk - All your sites being how many? Do you know which links? It could be forum links etc. that just became irrelivent. That, or they fixed up the screwup they did in July and now it's back to normal.

My new site is still PR0, so I take it the update isn't quite completed yet.

Well, last month I had a huge jump in my sites (5 of them) so maybe this is just a correction.

I did loose a few key backlinks. I have a PR7 backlink to contractortalk.com that isnt' there anymore. Was there last month.

Backlinks went down slightly for me, which was expected. No PR change, which is good.

Is the link still on the site? DC's could still be fluctuating...

yes: The link is still there...

My backlinks on ContractorTalk.com went from 1830 to 1,060!

My backlinks on DIYChatroom.com went from 1350 to 1,030

Both are PR6 still (hopefully it will stay that way)

It was around July 17th, I believe. Last PR update was sometime around 200 BC, though.

200 BC?! It happened again when Jesus touched the internet in about 30AD too.

Google has now fixed the stuff and now it shows all the backlinks which wasnt the case before where it just showed links from sites having PR4 or more.

Thanks
