Hey all.
A lot has been said about what can and can’t be done in SEO as far as link building, guest blogging etc etc in early 2014. I’m wondering if people are finding specific practice’s worthwhile to build good rankings in the early part of the year? It seems hard to know what will work and what to focus on.
I’d like specific examples to hear what’s working for you and your websites?

After the latest update of the Google everyone must focus on the quality of the content. And always try to use the highly authorized websites for the submission of articles, blog commenting etc.

I read somewhere (I’m sorry I could not remember the url) that it’s not really about the rankings now, but the content. It’s too hard to build links as you don’t know which site could hurt you. People are cautious about giving more tips on where you can build links. Advice out there is more on the safest thing you can do, which is to regularly update your site with a good content. The content shouldn’t be overly optimized with a lot of targeted keys in. I actually want to do more but google updates seem to have taken me aback about this whole seo process. Sad thing about what google can do at any time. tsk!
Yeh I think that may be the case… the problem there though, is that you can produce some of the best content but if no one finds it then it might as well be the worse?!
I guess that’s why I put the question out there to see if people were seeing success with anything particular. I’ve just launched a new site and I’m struggling to get it ranked as well as it should be.

We were sticking to primarily post contents to our blog and we’ve found success with it. Well, not until something hit us by mid-december. Not sure what’s going on.
