Im going to purchase an iPhone 4 within a couple of months, ive never owned one yet.
If you were going to buy one or have already bought one, what influenced your choice of one over the other?
Do/would you find 16GB ample or would there be a personal need for the 32GB?
Interesting replies from each of you, i will need to consider what i will be doing with it and figure out what size i really need.
It can be tempting to go for the larger one but i then could realise afterwards that i dont need that much space.

I’m debating that myself right now - but would think as long as you’re never too far from your pc or notebook to offload any large files you’ve got, you could get by with the 16GB.
I don’t mind managing my music all that much, but if you have a huge library and want everything with you at all times, spring for the larger model.

Thats a good way of looking at it, because when we think of how much storage space can be purchased for a desktop for example and well under £100.
At first i had thought why not the 32GB, its £100 on top and twice the storage amount, but then im realising thats its just that, only the extra space, its not twice the amount of anything else on the phone so i feel myself now thinking the 16GB will probably be right for me.
I don’t think that’s possible. As far as I know, apple’s memory card are not expandable.
Always by the one with the most memory 32GB, when you think about he price difference isn’t really all that significant, compared to problems that come with trying to upgrade, and there is always something new to add, you can’t have too much memory.
Not surprised to be honest, deliberate omission of obvious facilities like memory expansion and usb at the expense of user experience, is I reckon purely a cynical exercise to increase profit and decrease lifespan before redundancy.
I bought the 16GB version because as much as I love this device, I really can’t justify paying £100 for an additional 16GB of space, that’s just insane. 
Can’t you buy the lower memory version now then upgrade the memory card for a couple bucks later if necessary?
I bought a 16GB and don’t think I will ever fill it up. Unless you plan on using it as an iPod as well… then too 32 Gigs of music is a lot. If the price isn’t a big deal, then go for the 32 gigs…
I got the 32GB because I use it as an iPod as well - depends on how much music you want to carry around (or how many photos you plan on taking and storing).
