Ways to show Javascript and jQuery skills on Portfolio

I am updating my portfolio and so far I am very happy with the look of what I am doing. However I am stuck on how I can showcase my javascript and jQuery skills on my site. I know a good way to do so is to have a link to my github account, however some visitors will have no idea what that is, and I would like to show off what I can do by making my site interactive.

Usually I just get requirements and just make things happen, but I cant seem to come up with a good way to showcase what I can do on my site.

Any suggestions?

Are your portfolios set up like mine?

One idea would be to make it a lightbox, like mine. You might want to make yours a bit flashier I guess.

That’s just one idea to get you started.

Check out Dribbble and Codrops, and maybe search for “JavaScript”. They have tons of unique ideas that are relatively simple to implement.

Thank you for the advice, I never though about having separate pages showcasing my apps. To start off I made a small and basic image gallery.
