UX Presentation

Hi Guyz,
The CEO has asked me to give him a small UX presentation on my thought process and what is that I’m planning to change with respect to the old application.
For your information, the old existing application is used by a lot of clients and right now there is no scope to strip or tweak any existing functionality.
I was thinking of focusing on the positioning of certain elements in terms of buttons, forms, popups etc.

Can anyone suggest me any ideas on how to?

Thanks so much,
Roland

Hi Rolz.

So, this request is very lacking in details.

So, by “there is no scope” you mean “you aren’t allowed” to tweak existing functionality? Altering functionality is sometimes key to improving UX, depends on the situation, so that’s like hobbling you and telling you to run a race.

Positioning, coloration, contrasts, typography, all of those things are definitely useful UX items to consider.

Without more details about your goals, maybe some screenshots, etc, we’re going to be hard pressed to give useful responses. Also, what’s your background? Are you comfortable with HTML5, CSS3? Are you involved with your application’s backend, database, content management, navigation system… etc? Are you more of a designer? Just gives us an idea of what perspective you’re coming from.

Thanks Jeff,
Yes I’m UI/UX Designer and Developer and comfortable with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
Even if I have to show the Before and After effect, how do I show them? Just PPT presentation?
