Using an image as a link

why is the image above the horizontal menu not linking?

Thanks…

#header #logo{
width:100%;
height:100%;
display:block;
text-transform:capitalize; /* Helps IE hide the text properly */
text-indent: -999px;
}

Since you set a specific width/height in the parent div, you don’t need to set it again here.

You could carry over the parent div’s CSS to this link tag (since we’re display:block anyways) to reduce the amount of wrapper divs.

ok, thanks.
but the picture still doesn’t link

Curious - when I applied those style rules myself it linked just fine.

I noticed they haven’t been implemented yet. Could you set those rules (since the site is in dev mode anyway) so maybe we can narrow down the problem?

Sure, doesn’t really make sense to me either…but I am dumb…
Changes the text-indent so you can see the text links, not the image.

This div I guess needs to be absolutely positioned, otherwise it shows up behind the background of the empty span above it.
I really was confused as to why you choose to give the height and width of that div both to 100% rather than the image (background-image) dimensions.\so my rules for that element are;
#header #logo {
width:100%;
height:100%;
background:url(…/images/logo.jpg) no-repeat;
text-transform:capitalize;
display:block;
text-indent:99px;
position:absolute;
top:50px;
left:35px;
}
thanks for your help

Sorry, that was my mistake - I forgot to target the link itself with my CSS code. My first post should have read like this:

#header #logo a{
width:100%;
height:100%;
display:block;
text-transform:capitalize; /* Helps IE hide the text properly */
text-indent: -999px;
}
