SSL Whole Site or Parts?

Hello,

Should I secure my whole site with ssl or just the files/folders that need to be?

This is more directed at a seo perspective.

I had my whole site secure with a javascript 403.4 custom error redirect to https. Google has lost all my organicly indexed links due to bots not recognizing javascript. Since changed that to asp code, but wondering if the whole site being https will hurt me in a search engine way.

Are all my pages currently indexed as http specific? and an https page is totally different?

yeah i also agree with alan “SSL adds a lot of load on your web server, so if you don’t need it, don’t use it.”
